In order to understand the Nature, we should be able to understand it’s language. Communication has different faces – It may be signs, writings, arts, speakings, and so on so forth. Similarly Nature will communicate with us using the language “Mathematics”.

We know the Newton three laws :

- Inertia – any object will stays in its current state until unless external forces applied
- F = ma – The best way to understand this equation is depicted in the below picture.

So, It is easy to understand as : Force applied on a mass results in acceleration.

i.e.,F/m = a

3. Action = Reaction

Now, you try to push the wall near you, the more you push- equal and oppositely the wall pushes you back. It works everywhere in our daily life.

We will see some elementary mathematical notations we use regularly,

i) 1 apple + 1 apple = 2 apples

ii) 2 bananas + 3 bananas = 5 bananas

iii) 1/3 + 1/3 = ? The last two statements are very simple because they are in simple English, here it the case different !! But we can change the situation to simple as below

1 third + 1 third = 2 third

Isn’t that simple.

iv) 5 x 3 = ? How we read it ? Yes ! it is Five times Three.

3+3+3+3+3 = 15 or

we can also say it as Three times Five, means 5+5+5 = 15

Look around you observe things nature always tries to tell you something, so keep eyes open to perceive.
